Tip of the day
It is often said that carpet "makes the room". After all, carpet can account for 50% of the visual impact of a room. Carpet can be a neutral backdrop for your furnishings. Or it can anchor the room and reinforce your color statement. Either way, you cannot ignore it. Old, shabby carpet will bring the rest of the room down. Scrimp on the ceiling if you've got to cut the budget!

Technologies

As part of Shaw Industries, we're proud of our heritage of innovation and achievement. This innovative spirit has pioneered many new advances and technologies for the floor covering industry. By developing new technologies, we can create carpet fibers with never-before-seen performance. And this translates directly to you, the consumer, with a range of carpet fiber solutions that have the durability, comfort and styling flexibility your home needs.

CrossBond® Fiber Technology
Patented CrossBond fiber technology creates a resilient network of bond points through each carpet tuft, producing enhanced resistance to crushing and “tip bloom” or untwisting. CrossBond fiber technology is found in all Anso CrushResister® and Anso Caress® nylon staple fabrics.
Soft Hand™ Performance Technology
The soft feel of carpet made with Anso Caress nylon is achieved by using individual fiber filaments that are up to 50% smaller than conventional carpet fiber. As a result, there are twice as many filaments to provide the tough resistance to wear expected with nylon carpet.
Enhanced Body™ with Infusion Technology
Enhanced Body nylon is manufactured using infusion technology, a proprietary process that produces BCFE (Bulk Continuous Filament) yarn of superior volume and consistent quality. This results in a better carpet “hand,” or feel, plus uniform colorations. Enhanced Body is only found in Anso nylon products that have been created with the budget conscious consumer in mind.
R2x® Stain & Soil Repellent System
Exclusive to Shaw Industries, R2X application yields total fiber coverage. This technology is the first of its kind. The yarn is treated top to bottom—not just the surface—so any absorption from the base is minimized. You won’t find a better carpet stain repellant on the market.
